So many people do their shows with a mug. So, why shouldn't I? Please don't tell me that I shouldn't do this for a YouTube show.I thought of starting the show on a similar note. My day won't start without coffee. PDogg and Praveen, las game was between CSK and MI. And I observed so many things.In fact, I didn't see the first half of the match at all. I saw it in highlights before coming to the show. But I saw so many preview and review memes ahead of that game.I don't know how man of you saw what Badri did on his Instagram. Subramaniam Badrinath. Did you see that Pdogg?
I am not that active on Instagram. So, I didn't see. Badri vs Badri. He will talk as CSK and also talk as MI.I had a hearty laugh seeing what he said. He says to CSK, "Come on. You guys didn't win."MI says, "We guys at least won the previous game." Or something like that. The main part that I liked was both of them settling, "Let's not fight. If you guys take the 5 o clock bus, we will take the 6 o clock bus."
That was superb. That looked cute. So many things happened in the last game. CSK fans were disappointed with many things and we can see that from their comments on our YouTube section itself.They were upset particularly about the Conway lbw call stating they had intentionally cut the power fuse and stuff like that.We will discuss that. "The umpire has cheated" would be the cry in those tennis ball cricket days.The umpires are under huge pressure on whether to see the wide line, get scolding from captains, or what the commentators will be saying about their decisions.To err is human. DRS comes into effect because of the cameras placed at different angles. So many camera angles are used for that.Hawkeye is an England based company and they play a key role in DRS.
So, when they feed the data, the result gets thrown automatically.So, suddenly it goes when there is a power shutdown. There are cases where DRS wouldn't have been available for even 2-3 balls.They will inform the umpire immediately. Umpire's job will be to inform both the captains.

So, please don't get stuck on the pad."Obviously, that won't happen in IPL when we are playing at elite level.So, obviously, they will inform the whole scenario.But it does happen. I saw a few memes where they mentioned how can they let it happen for one of the richest leagues ever.Be it the richest league ever or the poorest league ever, these things happen. This type of technical malfunctioning has nothing to do with being the richest league in the world or whatever it is.Are you convinced now, as a fan, Praveen? You spoke about starting 15 minutes late. You can't start a game 15 minutes late, Praveen.
Just like how a movie should start sharply for a 6:15 show, the world feed should start at the correct time.You can't start a movie late just because two people haven't yet arrived at the theatre. DRS was not there for both the teams during that time, right? We fail to notice that.For example, there could have been a caught behind decision that the umpire ruled in CSK'S favor by giving that as not out as well, right?And bowling team (MI) could not have reviewed it then too, right? So, I am just saying this for an example. So, umpires will only see that the situation is same for both the teams.
So, when it is even on both sides, they will start the game on time. That was the whole controversy around DRS.Prasanna, do you have anything to say on this? You nailed it beautifully. The DRS ball projection is not an easy thing, guys.
That is a scientific related thing. They use multiple cameras' projections and use SENSOR lights.From the time the ball is released and it hits the pitch... In the air, and from where it pitches, how does it go and reaches the batsman.They will synchronize all these details. You guys think they are taking only one view into account while showing the DRS. Definitely not.
They should feed multiple camera angles with sensor lights to get the output and despite that, it is not 100%It is close to 100% which is an achievement. Having something rather than nothing is an achievement.So, even when there is a small technical glitch, they will not take a chance and inform that DRS is not available which was the right call.As you said if the decision had gone in CSK'S favor for a caught behind for Conway. In fact, in one of the games, Faf nicked it clearly. Since I am in Bangalore, I could hear it from my place that he nicked it, but the umpire didn't give it out.
So, these things happen. The umpire would not have heard the nick. I myself am a qualified umpire.All the caught behind c
alls are made only by hearing the nick and not by seeing the deviation or anything.It is only based on the sound on where is the bat and where is the pad and stuff. The umpires are also human beings, right?
