RCB will not only try to win this game but also try to win the game by a huge margin. So, their decision to bat first or bowl first if they win the toss itself will be decided based on this NRR factor.They need to up their run rate for sure and also need to get to 16 points. If Delhi gets to 16 points, then it is going to be really difficult for RCB.
If you ask me, RCB should just play their normal game, try to win the game instead of thinking about NRR, get to 16 points, and hope that Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals.So, before getting to my team for today, we will see the popular picks for the day. I said in the previous RCB game that Dinesh Karthik is batting low down the order.Will this be the game where they promote him? We will see that later on.
Wriddhiman Saha will be the one who will be competing with Dinesh Karthik’s keeping spot. Wriddhiman Saha has been picked by 85% of people.Dinesh Karthik has been picked by only 50% of people. In fact, Matthew Wade has been picked by 30% of people since he is batting at the top of the order.
So, the players are being picked on the basis of how many points they are fetching.Faf du Plessis has been picked by 86% of people. Shubman Gill has also been picked by 86% of people. He will get close to 100% for sure.Because for Gujarat Titans, both Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha are really crucial.

Shahbaz Ahmed has been picked by 24% of people. Tewatia has been picked by 20% of people.He is not getting many chances to bat and he is not bowling as well. That’s why only a few people are picking him, I guess.When it comes to bowling, Rashid Khan and Wanindu Hasaranga. They have been picked by 87% and 88% of people respectively.
Harshal Patel has been picked by 54% of people. He bowled really well against the Punjab Kings.So, before the game begins, many people will definitely pick him, I guess. Mohammed Shami has been picked by 69% of people.Josh Hazlewood has been picked by 33% of people as of now.
So, wait and watch my Dream11 for the day ahead of today’s crucial do-or-die match that will be played at the Wankhede.Actually, picking today’s team was really difficult. I had to decide whether RCB will come on top or Gujarat will come on top before picking the XI.
But still, I have managed and picked a team. I have taken stock-standard calls only. I am not taking huge risks.I had my doubts about whom to pick as my differentiator too. My differentiator for the day is going to be an extra bowler.
Usually, I will pick 3 bowlers, but today, I am going with 4 bowlers.I don’t go with 4 bowlers usually. I did that once in a LSG game.1 keeper, 4 batsmen, 4 bowlers, and 2 all-rounders. This is going to be my combination for the day.

Wriddhiman Saha will be my keeper. I thought of picking Matthew Wade but then decided to go with Hardik Pandya instead.And I thought of picking Dinesh Karthik but then there is no way that RCB will promote him up the order in today’s game.
Because RCB is opening with Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. They need a spin enforcer and therefore, Glenn Maxwell had to be used for that role.If they lose a wicket early in the powerplay, then they send Rajat Patidar at 3, followed by Glenn Maxwell.They are using Dinesh Karthik primarily as a finisher. If they lose more wickets in the middle overs, they are sending Shahbaz Ahmed ahead.
They can send Dinesh Karthik but they won’t and so, I am not picking him today.My 4 batsmen for the day: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Shubman Gill.I am a huge fan of Rajat Patidar and he scored a 50 in their previous encounter with Gujarat Titans.
This game is at Wankhede and so, there might be some turn. He plays fast bowling really well for an uncapped Indian batsman.And GT is a fast bowling-based attack. And he has played Rashid Khan really well. That's why I have picked him.Faf du Plessis. This is a must-win match for RCB and that’s when Faf du Plessis is at his best.
Almost 25% of people have Faf du Plessis as their captain and so, he will be my captain of the day too.My vice-captain of the day is another batsman and that is Shubman Gill. SRH vs Mumbai was played at the Wankhede.In that game also, the opening batsmen only scored more runs. That’s why I wanted to go with the batsmen instead of trying an all-rounder.
2 all-rounders of the day are Hardik Pandya and Glenn Maxwell.Both of them have been picked by almost everyone and most of them will be having Glenn Maxwell as their captain or vice-captain as well.It is not a bad call since GT has David Miller, Tewatia, and Matthew Wade.
So, he might be bowling his off-spinners and of course, there is his batting too.But my hunch call for the day is playing safe and going with Faf du Plessis and Shubman Gill.I am going with 4 bowlers. Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan will be my bowlers from Gujarat Titans.Shami has been bowling really well with the new ball, and at the death as well.

But my only concern is if Gujarat Titans rotate their bowlers and give rest to some of them.But I highly doubt it. The team is on a roll and so, they will stick to the same combination is what I believe unless there is a niggle.I have picked Harshal Patel and Wanindu Hasaranga from RCB. The wicket is getting slow and therefore, you cannot miss Harshal Patel.So, that is my team and my hunch based on the conditions. Because the wicket has been slow only in Wankhede.
The other two venues have been really good wickets.So, my team for the day again: Wriddhiman Saha, my only keeper.Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, and Shubman Gill are my four batsmen.Glenn Maxwell and Hardik Pandya are my all-rounders.4 bowlers: Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, Harshal Patel, and Wanindu Hasaranga.
